WHat If i told you…
Great vendors do wedding expos. Read that again, slowly. In fact, deciding to make wedding expos a consistent part of your marketing strategy is an integral part of building your event business to LAST. You do have to make that conscious decision, though. You need to decide that you want to be GREAT, not just GOOD. There are plenty of good wedding professionals who choose not to participate in wedding expos, but few of the great ones we’ve ever known, do not. But you have to create a strategy that ensures that every expo you do is successful.
What if I told you, that with the right strategy, that every wedding expo you decide to participate in will be successful, even if the promoter doesn’t deliver a single couple and you don’t book a single event?
I know that sounds like we are selling snake oil, but this strategy exists. We have delivered our seminar called “EXPO” to thousands of wedding pros who are now devotees to the method.
As a thank you for following the link and making it this far, we wanna give you a free taste of a couple of key plays from our “EXPO” playbook.
Ditch the table and chairs the promoter provides you. Using them makes you look disinterested and disengaged. It also puts up a natural barrier between you and the people you need to engage with. Make your booth open and inviting to enter. Openly greeting guests and moving around your booth area creates energy and excitement.
Be the first vendor at the Expo. No, I’m not exaggerating. Don’t just be early, be first. if the promoter says setup is 8am, be there at the door at 7:45. First, an expo promoters #1 worry is vendors showing up and being ready. Be their hero. You will be amazed how well a promoter will treat you if you do this. More importantly though, the most important work you will do at the expo is before the doors open to the public. Read that again. More about that to come…
